"When I set out to
add a deck and hot tub on the back of our home I met with three
contractors. Chris Olmstead was the most friendly, polite, prompt and
responsive of the three. He met with me onsite, was very courteous and
insightful. He was the only contractor that actually LISTENED to what I
wanted for my deck and then even added some recommendations and options.
Chris gave me a very detailed/itemized proposal for the work with several
options and their costs. Once we agreed upon what options to include in
the project, we agreed on the price. Construct began a couple of days
later and I had six of Chris’s employees and Chris himself working on my
house early in the morning. I was amazed how quickly and how skilled Chris
and his team were. They focused greatly on quality and attention to
detail. Chris even added in some extra trim work and some bench
seating/storage that we hadn’t even discussed previously. In the end,
Chris and his team built a beautiful deck with all the extras and came in
on time and UNDER BUDGET!! Chris was able to save some money on a few
items and passed that savings on to me. I work with contractors regularly
and have never met a contractor that was willing to come in under budget
once we have agreed on a price. I have been truly impressed with Chris and
his team. Chris will treat you with respect and professionalism, listen to
your wishes and concerns, and most of all he delivers more than you
bargained for. Chris really knows and lives out “Customer Service.” From
my experience, Chris strives not just to meet your expectations but to
exceed them. He really takes a great deal of pride in his work. Our family
regularly enjoys our new deck, grill, and hot tub. This “simple deck
project” has really enhanced our family life and the time we spend
together. I can proudly say that our family will certainly use Olmstead
Homesteads again on our future projects. "
